Shutter release noise?

As others have already mentioned there is an enclosure, called a blimp for its resemblance to the lighter than air flying machine, that will damp the noise of a dslr but you could also try using a high end point and shoot like the Canon G10, etc., camera would cost less than the blimp alone and is a lot less obtrusive.
