Can somebody help me and explain what this quote means?

This is a strange poem. It seems like he was trying to be intelligent and poetic but it doesn't really make any sense and it kind of contradicts itself. I think he is trying to say that he remembers fond things about you two together that were wonderful at the time but now they make him sad because he is alone and he misses you and can't forget you. And he feels very emotionally sensitive and doesn't like the world and would rather dream than live.
