Looking for house to rent/looking for a house to buy?

Start by finding a realtor. Explain your situation and see if they think they can get you into a home purchase. If nothing else they may suggest saving for a down payment and renting until later to purchase. They could also probably hook you up with some good rentals or at least give you leads on people who do rent. It depends a lot on your financial situation and a lot of other things you'll discuss with the realtor. Give it a try. The worst that could happen is you still have to rent. Buying a home has never been more affordable with the way the market's been so it's one of the best times for you to look into it. If nothing else you can start planning for it at a later time and still probably catch a great deal later.
