How can I make $3000 FAST?

I have a wedding in September that's out of state and is going to cost me a BIG chunk of money and I'm having a ridiculously hard time getting a job. The best idea I have, so far, is selling my car...but then I have no way of getting around (part of the $3000 is for a rental car. I'm pre-worried mine won't make it all the way there and back). Any help or ideas (that are NOT a scam) would be greatly appreciated! Oh! I'm also a single mother...so I know that can dampen "greater scheme of things" plans on occasion.
